PROPRIETARY CUSTOM FINISHES
Unfinished: Unfinished metals (Steel, Brass and Copper) will show manufacture marks, tarnish, rust and some other minor imperfections in most cases
Brushed Brass: This eliminates almost all previously mentioned imperfections leaving only the beautiful brush marks/minor scuffs
Gunmetal: Combination of oxides on solid brass creates this deep matte gray patina, might show brown undertones
Deep Bronze: A deep brown color with blue undertones, this finish is done over brushed brass; sealed with rubbed mineral oil
Antique Brass: After brushing, solid brass is oxidized providing an antique brass finish that is consistent throughout
Custom Paint finishes: These are done using a six-step proprietary technique, each custom painted piece gets a minimum of four coats of the highest quality enamel paints on the market.
Hand-aged artisanal finishes: These are done using an eight-step proprietary technique, each component is hand-aged individually and soft polished with a mixture of natural linear polymers; an exclusive technique from my studio.
Will the artisanal finishes age or tarnish?
Yes, the hand-aged live-finishes are left unsealed and they will age beautifully and naturally over time, except dark bronze. The aging process will vary depending on the surrounding environment.
Do I offer other artisanal finishes? Sure! Oil rubbed tones, rustic patinas, industrial metal, faux distressed, wax paints and more; send me your ideas, I'd be happy to help you achieve your vision!
How about color paint finishes? Absolutely! I offer several colors in gloss, semi-gloss, satin, matte, semi-satin.
